What to Expect

Attending an outdoor performance like the Mesa Easter Pageant is a unique and memorable experience, but it’s important to be mindful of your surroundings to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit.

• Uneven Surfaces – The seating area is on the lawn of the Temple Grounds, with natural terrain that includes grass, dirt paths, and paved walkways that may be uneven. Please watch your step and take care when walking, especially in dim lighting.

• Landscaping Borders & Raised Edges – The grounds feature decorative landscaping elements such as flower beds, planters, and stone borders that may be slightly raised above the grass or pathways. Be aware of these features to avoid trips or stumbles.

• Seating Availability – Over 9,000 chairs are provided in the seating area; however, many guests choose to sit on the surrounding grass and open spaces. You may want to bring blankets in case seating is limited.

• Weather Considerations – Spring conditions in Mesa are typically mild but evenings can be cool and we do experience rain, wind and cold from time to time. The Pageant will likely continue through wind, rain, and cold temperatures. Please plan accordingly by bringing appropriate clothing, blankets, and any other necessary items for comfort.

• Nighttime Conditions – The Pageant begins after dark to take advantage of its dramatic lighting design. Once the show starts, lighting in the seating areas will be limited, and pathways may become less visible. Please stay aware of your surroundings, use designated walkways, and bring a small flashlight or use your phone light if needed.
